About EGP

EGP is a program catering to boys from the ages of 13-14 years old that combines an enriched Jewish atmosphere with the best recreation programs. Our camp's breathtaking panoramic view of the Delaware river and the surrounding mountains offer an opportune oasis for children to experience the warmth and beauty of Chassidishkeit in a safe, friendly, and warm environment.
It's the place where we become Chasidim!

E.G.P. daily schedule:

7:15 Reveille:  Modeh Ani, wash negel vaaser, brush your teeth, and run to the Mikveh Bus! Everyone is responsible to be on time for Seder Brochos even if the PA system didn’t wake you up.
8:05-8:15 Seder Brochos and Mezonos Far’n Davenin’ in Zal: Go to Zal, and put on your hat and jacket to say Brochos. There’s 5 minutes to say Brochos and 5 minutes to eat Mezonos.
8:20-8:55 Chassidus Shiur: Learn the Rebbe’s Maamorim to start the day right.
9:00 Korbanos and preparation for Davening: By now you should be in Zal, after using the bathroom (if necessary). Every- one must sit at their pre-designated place. Don’t forget to give tzedaka, and say Korbanos word for word.
9:12 Perek Mem Aleph and Tefillin: Must have Tefillin on by now.
9:15 Shiur Tanya Yomei: Take advantage of this time to follow along and read the Tanya from inside.
9:20 Hodu: This is the highlight of the day! Let’s connect to Hashem and let’s do it properly. We are going to daven out loud and at a normal pace.
10:00/10:15 Breakfast: It’s important not to skip any meals, so we can have energy for our entire day of Avodas Hashem. Bentching should be done with a double-covering, preferably with a hat and jacket.
10:30 Clean-up: We give you this time so you should use it out! Having a clean room and bunk-house will make your (and your friends’) summer much more enjoyable!
11:00/11:15 Seder Nigleh - Gemara: This year’s Gemara seder will be something special, and some special incentives too! Make sure to be on time. Note that this seder starts fifteen minutes later on Mondays and Thursdays.
12:00 15 minute Break: Not a time to go to the bunkhouses. Don’t go too far, you don’t want to be late to the next class!
12:15 Seder Nigleh - Gemara
12:45 Seder Hiskashrus: What is the proper way to view the Rebbe? Why is it important to connect to the Rebbe? What is the source of Chassidim’s belief that the Rebbe is Moshiach, and is alive with us now?
Learn the sichos and explanations from inside, and get the answer to all the above.
1:20 Lunch
1:50 Mincha, Minhogei Melech: We’ll start off Mincha with mentioning a Minhag of the Rebbe in davening, and throughout the day.
2:05 Moshiach Shiur: This is not optional. We live Moshiach, here in EGP. Get involved and enjoy it. Short, sweet and to the point.
2:20 Rest Period: This is your free time for yourselves, use it wisely and don’t do anything you might regret afterwards! You can change into tshirts now.
2:45 1st Activity: Try to remember that it’s the fun what counts – not the win. EGP sports is for
4:00 2nd Activity: It’s hot out, so make sure to drink a lot of water during sports.
5:20 Swimming: Refresh yourselves in the pool. It’s the EGP policy and Halacha to have your legs covered at all times - on your way to the pool and on your way back. And of course, yamulka and tzitzis.
6:00 Snacks, Showers, Breathing time: Reminder: we wear white shirts for the upcoming Seder.
6:30 Seder Chitas/Rambam - in Zal: Mandatory Seder set up to give you extra time to finish Chitas and Rambam every day. Learning can be with a staff member, or, if you feel confident, you can learn with a chavrusa.
7:00 Supper: With Chayolei’s tasty and healthy meals, you won’t want to waste your money in canteen!
7:30 Seder Erev: Learning day to day Halacha, and the guidelines of how a Tomim should live his daily life.
8:20 Night Activity: Here’s the time to really see your counselors in action. It’s not the same ol’ boring night activities you’re used to from being a kid – we’re talking REAL fun.
9:05 Maariv, Video, Cheshbon Nefesh, Kriyas Shema: Let’s think over our day, remember the fun we had and the learning we did. We think over our Avodas Hashem, and decide that ‘tomorrow will be much better’.
Seder Sichos - Optional: An opportunity to strengthen our Hiskashrus to the Rebbe. This will be periodically, and will include some nosh to munch on.
10:05 Must be inside Bunks, getting ready for lights out: Don’t forget to prepare Negel Vaaser. May not be in the gym past 10pm.
10:15 Lights Out and Maaseh Rav: No lights on in bunkhouse after lights out. No noise allowed to be heard outside your room. Being sent out of your bunk is an automatic half hour penalty.
Listen quietly to a story told by the Rebbe. You can follow along a copy of the story in Yiddish, with your flashlight..

Ask your counselor when to say HaMapil; he might want to treat the bunk out to a special late night.
